Goal
Approach
The school took a unique approach by creating a pilot classroom with iPad to increase student engagement rather than replace traditional teaching methods. The initiative aimed to teach students how to learn with technology and unleash their creativity. The iPad became a valuable tool, allowing interactive participation and interaction with content in a way that was not possible without technology.
Results achieved
Foster Creativity.
The integration of technology led to a more dynamic and lively learning environment, with a playful element that enhanced the quality of education. The collaboration extended to the creation of a "Moser Lab", a space that brings together educators and IT professionals for collective intelligence, fostering innovation and development.
Increase Engagement.
Despite initial concerns about distractions, the school observed increased engagement compared to distraction. The students appreciated the flexibility of using iPad in different positions and settings. While some challenges, such as difficulty tracking errors and the need for traditional paper in certain instances, were acknowledged, overall, there were no negative feedback from students.
Changing the role of teachers.
Teachers at Ecole Moser saw themselves as facilitators rather than traditional scholars, using the digital innovation to ensure children were motivated to learn and emphasising respect, independence, community and collaboration for effective learning.
Our contribution
Ecole Moser's collaboration exemplifies a thoughtful integration of digital tools into education, particularly through the use of iPad. The school's approach, starting with a pilot classroom and prioritizing teacher training, allowed for a gradual and effective implementation. The success of the initiative is evident in the increased engagement and versatility observed among students.
