Approach

In this particular case, our collaboration with L'Institut International de Lancy focused on providing comprehensive digital learning support during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognising the need to respond quickly and effectively to the closure of physical classrooms, we worked together to implement a contingency plan that included the distribution of iPad to all students.

Results achieved

Transition to digital learning.

In response to the pandemic, IIL quickly moved to digital learning by providing students with iPad. The use of digital tools, including collaborative online platforms, was highlighted as an effective means of maintaining communication between students, parents and teachers during the lockdown.

Innovative use of technology.

The collaboration showcased the successful integration of technology into various aspects of education, emphasizing the use of iPad for seamless communication and collaboration. The innovative approach extended to subjects like physical education, where the iPad were utilized to enhance engagement and offer real-time feedback on students' physical activities.

Challenges of distance learning.

Despite successfully adapting digital tools, ensuring individualised attention for remote students presented challenges. The limitations of not being physically present to address the needs of each student were recognised, particularly in identifying those who needed extra attention.

Positive aspects of digital learning.

By embracing digital tools and innovative teaching methods, our initiative aimed not only to ensure continuity in education during challenging times but also to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for future success.
