Approach
The integration of traditional teaching methods with modern digital tools is at the heart of the collaboration between the Lycee Français de Zurich and ART Computer. The 'Plan Classe à la Maison' initiative provided a seamless pedagogical experience, highlighting the increasing importance of digital tools in students' lives.
Results achieved
Remote learning.
The immediate challenge was to ensure that education continued, and the school's prior adoption of iPad over the last three years proved beneficial during the sudden transition to remote learning.
Increased autonomy.
Despite the abrupt shift to online education, the school found that iPad enabled students to continue working together and maintaining a sense of community. However, the shift also demanded increased autonomy and personal effort from students, as they no longer had the direct support of teachers in the classroom.
Lifelong learning.
The local initiative, "Plan Classe à la Maison," provided a pedagogical continuity for students and highlighted the increasing importance of digital tools in their daily lives. The experience with iPad during the pandemic also prepared students for potential future use of digital tools in their academic and professional pursuits.

The experience highlighted the need for a balanced approach, leveraging technology to enhance learning while recognizing the irreplaceable role of educators and interpersonal interactions.
